The theme of their Spring Summer 2020 collection is “VIENNA”.
Vienna means many things. “Melange” is espresso with steamed milk, topped off with milk froth. This everyday drink is a good representation of Vienna. A blend of different styles, thoughts and environments mixed together, result in something typically Viennese.
This is a fine balance between simplicity and opulence, patina and gloss, art nouveau and social housing, superficiality and skillful understatement. We are at the epicentre of it all.
In 2001, Klaus Mühlbauer became the creative director of the well-established hat brand Mühlbauer founded in 1903, as the 4th generation. Like previous generations, he acquired the skills of a hat craftsman. Leaving the family business for a while, he eventually took over to carry on the techniques and traditions. The hat collections by Klaus Mühlbauer are based on solid skills and perfectly blends tradition with fashion, by open-mindedly incorporating new ideas to materials and designs. He was also a director for the boutique store “MODE MUHLBAUER” and has been active in various fields as one of the leaders of Vienna fashion.
